Our best friends…
They provide us a furry shoulder to cry on at the end of a hard day. They shower us with sloppy kisses even when we don’t deserve them. They protect us with a fierce loyalty and ask nothing in return. Dogs love unconditionally.
A group of local friends would like to repay these many acts of kindness by building our precious pooches a place to play. A place to call their own. A place to run free off-leash and interact with other dogs and humans. A dog park will not only be great for four-legged friends, but human residents
will benefit too by having access to public open space where they can socialize, exercise, and spend time with their pets.
Deserve A Place To Play
This new dog park is being developed in southwest Champaign. Located on seven acres near the southeast
corner of Windsor and Rising Roads, the park will feature a 4 foot fence, double-gated entry area, separate areas for large and small dogs, parking lot, trash cans/dog waste stations, and appropriate signage.
But those are just the basics. We’re currently raising funds
for extra amenities to make this park the new canine
hot spot. These extras will cost $20,000 and include:
- Two drinking fountains
(one for dogs, one for humans)
- A message center
- Benches
- A small shelter
Your donation will help fund the first public area where dogs may legally run off-leash within the Champaign city limits. Help provide our best friends a place to play – donate today
